Ingredients
- 2 bone in THICK pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
- Salt & Pepper
- 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 Tablespoons minced garlic
- 4 Tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 3 heaping Tablespoons brown sugar
- Fresh parsley chopped
Directions
-
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
-
Heat vegetable oil in a oven safe skillet (like cast iron or enameled cast iron) on medium high heat. Sear the pork chops for 3 minutes on each side. Remove and set aside.
-
In the same skillet, reduce heat to low and add butter…once your skillet cools down a little…add garlic, brown sugar, red pepper, and whisk until combined, simmer 2-3 minutes. Add pork chops back into the pan and coat with sauce. I added my garlic way too soon and it almost burned.
-
Place oven safe skillet in the oven and bake 8-10 minutes or until internal temperature of pork chops reaches 145 F.
-
Remove pork chops and let rest 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve.
