Ingredients

  • 3 C self rising flour
  • 1/2 C butter-very cold
  • 1 1/4-1 1/2 C buttermilk or yogurt
  • kosher salt

Directions

  1. Using food processor:

  2. 3 C self rising flour

  3. Add 1/2 stick butter(divided into 4 pats)

  4. Pulse to mix

  5. Add other 1/2 stick butter

  6. Pulse a couple of ties

  7. Add some of buttermilk

  8. Pulse 4 times

  9. Add rest of butter milk to total of 1 1/4 C

  10. Pulse 3 times

  11. Add remainder milk if needed

  12. Dough onto floured counter

  13. Fold about a dozen times

  14. Flour dough and pat out and make into biscuit rounds

  15. for size of biscuits desired
  16. butter top of biscuit when ready to bake

  17. Bake 425 for 20-25 minutes on parchment paper

  18. Can bake or refrigerate after making dough into biscuit rounds
