Dee’ Italian Meatloaf

Ingredients

  • 1and 1/2 cups Italian bread crumbs
  • 1T parsley
  • 1lb ground beef
  • 5T Parmesan cheese
  • 2eggs (slightly beaten)
  • 1t salt
  • 1/4 t pepper
  • 2T butter
  • 18 Oz. Can tomato sauce
  • 1t oregano

Directions

  1. eheat oven to 375.

  2. Grease a shallow baking pan.

  3. Soak bread crumbs in 1 C water.

  4. Put ground beef in bowl and mix parsley, cheese, eggs, salt and pepper. Shape into loaf and dot top with butter and bake for one hour.

  5. Pour tomato sauce over meat, sprinkle with oregano; bake 20-30 minutes longer.

  6. ( Note that it takes about an hour and a half for a large loaf to get well-done all the way through.
