Ingredients
- 2 heads romaine, trimmed and halved lengthwise
- Olive oil
- Coarse salt and black pepper
- 2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 2 oz. shaved Parmesan
Directions

Preheat a grill or heat a cast-iron grill pan. Brush the cut sides of the romaine with olive oil. Sprinkle generously with salt and pepper. Grill, cut side down, until charred and blackened in a few places, about 2 minutes.

Transfer the lettuce to a platter. Drizzle with olive oil and the lemon juice and scatter shaved Parmesan cheese over the top.
