Ingredients
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 15.5 oz. jar salsa
- 2 15-oz. cans tomato sauce
- 15 oz. can light red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 15 oz. can dark red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 pkg. chili seasoning mix
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Toppers, such as shredded cheese, chopped red onion, sliced jalapenos, chopped cilantro, and/or sour cream
- Corn chips
Directions

In a Dutch oven, cook ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until meat is browned and onion is tender, about 10 minutes. Drain grease.

Add salsa, tomato sauce, light and dark red kidney beans, chili seasoning mix, pepper and garlic powder. Mix well. Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, 1 hour.

Serve with toppers and corn chips.
