Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. water
- 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 325. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving a 2-inch overhang. Coat parchment with cooking spray.

Stir together sugar, butter and water in a saucepan over medium heat until boiling. Remove from heat, add chocolate chips and stir until smooth. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Stir together flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Add chocolate mixture to bowl and stir until just combined. Pour and spread into prepared pan.

Bake until top is shiny and set, and a toothpick inserted into center comes out with just a few moist crumbs, 25-30 minutes. Cool completely in pan on a wire rack, about 1 hour. Use parchment overhang to lift cooled brownies from pan. Cut into 9 squares.
