Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 of a yellow onion, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 green onions, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces (white and light green parts)
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. sesame oil
- 1 tbsp. pure maple syrup
- Napa cabbage or green leaf lettuce leaves
- Steamed white rice
- Kimchi

In a bowl combine beef, onion, garlic, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, maple syrup, and 1 tsp kosher salt; mix well. Cover and marinate in the fridge at least 4 hours or, ideally, overnight.

In a large skillet heat 1 tsp vegetable oil over medium. Add ground beef mixture and cook until browned, stirring occasionally to break up large chunks. Set hot in bowls with cabbage or lettuce leaves, rice and kimchi. Sprinkle with additional green onions.
