stuffed cabbage (chalapchis)

Ingredients
- 2 small cabbages or maybe 1 large
- meat
- 2 packages of impossible beef
- 1 large onion grated
- 2/3 cups of rice (uncooked)
- 2 tsp salt
- 1.5 tsp pepper
- Sauce
- 1/4 to 1/3 jar of maranara
- 16 oz can of diced tomatoes
- 2/3 cup lemon juice
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ~ 0.5 cup dried cranberries
- 1.5 tsp salt
Directions

preheat oven to 375

Cut out the bottom stem/core of the cabbage

put some water in bottom of bowl, add cabbage, put pie plate on top and microwave for 10 min
-
slice the bone of each leaf thin

make meat mixture
-
put meat in cabbage toward bottom

fold bottom, side, side, then roll to top

put roll in dutch oven seam down
-
add sauce
-
bring to boil on stove top
-
t in oven for 1.5 – 2 h
