Ingredients
- 1 1/2 C cqke flour
- 1 1/2 C all purpose flour
- 1 T baking powder
- 1 t salt
- SIFT
- 2 sticks butter cream with
- 1 3/4 C sugar
- 4 eggs one at a time
- CREAM
- 2 t vanilla ext
- 1 1/4 C milk at room temperature
- add flour and milk at room temperature to creamed butter
Directions

8 inch pans with parchment paper=MUST BE AT LEAST 2 INCHES HIGH

Butter cake pans

Put parchment paper in bottom

Flour pans

Fill pans

Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes

Orange Curd
-
12 egg yolks
-
1 1/2 C sugar
-
zest 2 oranges
-
1/2 C lemon juice
-
1/4 C plus 2 T orange juice

Stir with wooden spoon on medium low heat.

Cook until wooden spoon coated

Add 2 sticks plus 5 T cold small pats cold butter

Chill
-
Cut each cake in half horizonally

1/2 C orange curd for each layer leaving about an inch all the way around

Chill in refrigerator

FROSTING
-
1 pound unsweetened chocolate
-
2 2/3 cut whipping cream that has been brought to a boil

1 t cornsyrup
-
Melt chocolate cream mixture

Add 2 sticks plus 5 T cold butter-cut into size of pats of butter

Frost and chill
