Arroz con Gondules

(from gabjos’s recipe box)

Ingredients

  • 2 c rice
  • 4 to 5 c of water or beef broth
  • 1/2 c sofrito
  • 1 c gondules
  • 1 packet Sazon with achote
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 3 T oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Pork chops

Directions

  1. Heat oil in pan, add the rice

  2. Toast the rice then all the other ingredients

  3. Get the mixture to boil then put a lid on it and turn down the heat to low

  4. Cook 20 minutes without lifting the lid
