Caramelized Baked Chicken

A serving of wings, assuming it’s not being eaten as a side or with rice, is 8-12 nibbles. For drums, the sauce will cover 2-4 pieces.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • salt and pepper, garlic, ginger to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp ketchup, or a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce
  • 8-12 nibbles or 2-4 drums (4 drums = 2 servings)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 190C.

  2. Mix everything but the chicken.

  3. Double-line a baking pan with foil, and lay the chicken in a single layer down. Try and fold the foil up as high as possible around the chicken.

  4. Spoon sauce over chicken.

  5. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes, or until sauce caramelizes on the skin into a nice glaze. Baste every 10 minutes by turning the chicken and spooning the sauce over.
