Crockpot Split Pea Soup

Serves 6 people
Ingredients
- 1 lb split peas, rinsed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 1/2 quarts chicken broth (use water if you are adding a ham bone)
Directions

Put all ingredients in crockpot.

Cover and cook until peas are soft (high 4-5 hours or low 8-10 hours)

Salt and pepper to taste.

Serve with whole grain rolls and a spinach salad.
