Ingredients

  • 1/2 C butter
  • 1/2 C solid crisco
  • Beat
  • 1 3/4 C white sugar
  • 6 room temp egg whites-beat in one at a time and slowly beat
  • Prepare
  • 2 t baking powder
  • 1/2 t baking soda
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 2 1/2 C all purpose flour
  • And wet ingredients
  • 1 1/2 C buttermilk t vanilla
  • Add alternately-starting and ending with dry ingredients
  • DONT MIX MORE THAN 2 MINUTESGrease and flour pans-Can line bottom with parchment paper
  • Bake 325 for 28-30 minutes -check after 22 minutes
  • After out of oven 10 minutes- turn onto parchment paper
