shrimp and corn bisque

Ingredients
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1/4 C flour
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 2 C chicken broth
- 10 oz corn
- 4 medium redskin potatoes cubed and cooked
- 2 C cream
- 1 T dried parsley
- 1 t salt
- 1/2 t black pepper
- cayenne pepper to taste
- 1 lb raw, peeled shrimp
Directions

melt butter in soup pot and make a rue

cook onion until tender
-
add broth
-
stir in corn, potatoes, milk and seasoning
-
cook 15 minutes on medium, stirring all the time
-
add shrimp and cook on medium-low until done
