Mamie Eisenhower’s Million Dollar Fudge

Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 cups of sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 tall can of evaporated milk
  • 12 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate bits
  • 12 ounces of German sweet chocolate
  • 1 pint of marshmallow cream
  • 2 cups of nutmeats

Directions

  1. Step 1: Boil the sugar, salt, butter, and evaporated milk for six minutes.

  2. Step 2: Put the chocolate bits, German chocolate, marshmallow cream, and nutmeats in a bowl. Pour the boiling syrup over the ingredients in the bowl.

  3. Step 3: Beat until the chocolate is all melted, then pour the mixture into a pan.

  4. Step 4: Let stand a few hours before cutting. Remember, this recipe is always better on the second day. Store in a tin box.
