Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 C butter
  • 1 1/2 C sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 3 1/2 C all purpose flour
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/2 t baking powder

Directions

  1. Mix butter & sugar until smooth & creamy

  2. Add eggs & vanilla, mix well

  3. Add rest of ingredients, mix well

  4. Flatten dough on a sheet pan lined with plastic wrap

  5. Refrigerate at least 2 hours

  6. Roll dough onto floured pastry cloth & cut into shapes

  7. Bake @ 350F 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown
