Celery Seed Coleslaw

Serves 8 peopleIngredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 1 tsp celery seed
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 Tbs vegetable oil
- 3 Tbs water
- 2 lbs cabbage, shredded
- 1 onion, grated
Directions

Combine all ingredients except cabbage and onion in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer until sugar dissolves, about 2 – 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Combine cabbage and onion in a large bowl and add dressing. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
