Peanut Butter Knockouts

Ingredients
- . 1 pkg Duncan Hines® Home-Style Peanut Butter Cookie Mix
- . 1 (3 oz) pkg cream cheese
- . 3 tbsp creamy peanut butter
- . 1 large egg yolk
- . 1 1/2 tbsp granulated sugar
- . dash salt
- . 1/3 c semi-sweet mini chocolate chips
- . 1/3 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
- . 2 tsp shortening

1 Preheat oven to 375 ºF.

2 Prepare cookie mix according to package directions. Shape dough in to 36 (about 1") balls. Place 2" apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Press thumb gently in center of each cookie.

3 Combine cream cheese, peanut butter, egg yolk, sugar and salt in medium bowl. Beat at med speed with electric mixer until blended. Stir in mini chocolate chips, if desired. Fill center of each cookie with rounded teaspoon of filling. Bake 8 to 10 min or until golden brown. Cool 2 min on cookie sheets. Remove to cooling racks. Cool completely. Place chocolate chips and shortening in microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high power 30 sec; stir. Repeat in 15 sec intervals, if necessary. Drizzle chocolate over cookies. Allow chocolate to set before storing cookies between layers of waxed paper in airtight container.
