Sergiy’s Cabbage Salad

Serves 6 people
Ingredients
- Cabbage 3 - 4 kg
- Carrots, shredded
- Garlic to taste
- 1 Liter water
- 1.5 cups sugar
- 1.5 cups corn oil
- 2 Tbsp salt
- Spices (if you like it "spisie")
- 1.5 cups white vinegar
Directions

Mix up ingredients that are not vegetables. Put them in a pot and bring to a boil.

Cut up cabbage and carrots as desired and put them into a heat-proof container, removing air as necessary.

Dig hole into center of cabbage/carrots and drop in sufficient garlic (pressed) into center to taste.

Once boiling, pour hot liquid over vegetables and cover.

Let stand 12 – 24 hours prior to serving, and put remainder in refrigerator
