TEMPURA BATTER

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 3/4 to 1 c. water, or 1 (7 oz.) can beer
  • 1 egg

Directions

  1. Stir dry ingredients, stir in water and egg and beat until smooth. Good for shrimp, fish fillets, finger steaks or raw vegetables. Coat and deep fry.
