Spaghetti Caprese

Ingredients

  • 1 BOX Barilla Spaghetti
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 CLOVE Garlic, Minced
  • 1/8 TEASPOON Red Chili Pepper Flakes
  • 6 Plum Tomatoes, Chopped
  • 1 TEASPOON Salt
  • 1/8 TEASPOON Black Pepper, Freshly Ground
  • 18 Fresh Mozzarella Cheese, Cubed
  • 2 TEASPOONS Fresh Oregano, Chopped

Directions

  1. BRING a large pot of water to a boil.

  2. HEAT oil in skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; stir for 1 to 2 minutes.

  3. ADD tomatoes and salt and pepper; reduce heat to low. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. COOK Spaghetti according to package directions; drain and return to pot.

  5. ADD hot pasta to skillet mixture. Add cheese and stir until cheese is slightly melted. Transfer to serving platter. Garnish with oregano leaves.
