Categories: Seafood
Ingredients
- Four - 5 oz tilapia filets
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- Sea salt and ground pepper
- 2 tbsp light or reduced fat mayo
- 3 chopped garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp lime juice - fresh
- 1 medium avocado - peeled
- low sodium chicken broth
- tabasco sauce
Directions
-
Spray grill pay with non-stick vegetable spray. Rinse fillets with cold water & pat dry with paper towel. Combine garlic powder, cumin, chili powder and 1/2 tsp salt in small bowl and spinkle some of the mixture on both sides of each fillet. Puree mayo, garlic, lime juice and avocado until smooth using food processor or blender – adding enough chicken broth so mixture blends smoothly into thick sauce. Transfer sauce to small bowl & season with salt, pepper and tabasco.
-
Heat grill pan over medium high heat until smoking, cook fillets for 3 minutes per side or until opaque in center.
-
Transfer fillets to plate and serve with a dollop of avocado cream on top.
