Ingredients
- 3 1/2 cups canned crushed tomatoes (1 28 oz. can)
- 3 Tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons minced garlic
- 5 Tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 1/2 teaspoons crushed oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- salt and freshly grated pepper to taste
- 6 Tablespoons finely chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
- 1 cup beef stock
Directions

Heat oil in a saucepan and add onions and garlic. Cook while stirring, do not brown. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, cayenne, salt, pepper, basil, and parsley. Stir and bring to a boil. Add the stock and simmer 30 minutes.
