Ingredients
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cups canned Italian tomatoes
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 4 whole basil leaves, or 1 teaspoon dried
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Directions

Cook garlic and onions in the oil until golden brown.

Combine all other ingredients and simmer, uncovered, until thickened, about 1 1/4 hours.
