Ingredients
- 3 pounds apples - peeled, cored and sliced - Macintosh are good - not granny smith
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup applesauce
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.

Place sliced apples in baking dish. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in eggs, applesauce, and oil; pack on top of apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until topping is puffed and golden brown.
