Ingredients
- 1/2 box whole wheat penne
- 1/2 lb trimmed asparagus, cut into 2-inch diagonal pieces
- 1/2 cup low fat ricotta
- 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/8 cup parmesan cheese
- salt
- pepper
Directions

Cook pasta according to directions.

2-4 min before the pasta is done, add asparagus to wate (2 min for thin, 4 min for thick)

Before draining, reserve about 1 cup of pasta water in small bowl. Drain.

Add ricotta and olive oil in large serving bowl.

Mix in 1/3 cup of pasta water

Immediately add pasta and asparagus and gently toss with cheese mix

If seems too dry, add more pasta water 1/4 cup at a time

Sprinkle parmesan over pasta and sprinkle with red pepper flakes.
