Instant Coconut Chutney

Ingredients

  • Coconut Flakes: 1/2cup
  • Roasted Channa dal: 1/4 cup
  • Roasted Peanuts: 2tsp
  • Yogurt: 2 tsp
  • Salt, Chilli: 1/2tsp or to taste
  • Mustard seeds: 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves: few
  • Oil: 2 drops

Directions

  1. Soak the coconut flakes in water for half an hour.

  2. In the mean time, if you dont have these, then dry roast the channa dal and peanuts, let it cool.

  3. Grind coconut, channa dal and peanuts in a mixer.

  4. Add a yogurt for consistency & tanginess, Season with salt and chilli to taste.

  5. Heat two drops of oil and splutter mustard seeds and curry leaves.

  6. Add this tempering on coconut chutney.

  7. Enjoy your chutney with Idli/Sambar.
