Bele Soppu [leafy veg curry]

Ingredients
- Dantina soppu-3 bunches
- Palak-2 bunches
- Tur dal-1/2 cup
- Moong dal-1 handful
- Green chillies-5
- Garlic-6 pearls
- Sambar powder-1/2 tsp
- Tamarind juice-1 tbsp
- Tomatoes-3
- Onion[medium sized]-3- cut into small pieces [ 1/2 onion for seasoning]
- Ghee for seasoning
- Jeera-1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste

Cook both the dals with 4 cups of water in an open vessel for about 15 mins . When they are more than 1/2 cooked, add onion, green chillies, garlic, dantina soppu, palak, tomatoes, sambar powder, cover and cook, do not disturb the dal at the base, let the other ingredients cook on the top of the dal.

When the leafy vegetable is cooked, remove the entire top portion, leaving the dal, at the base and mash it thoroughly and then add back to the dal. Boil for 5 mins. If needed more of gravy, a little water can be added. Add tamarind juice and salt. Season with jeera and 1/2 onion in ghee and add to the veg.
