Tomato Chutney

Ingredients

  • Chopped tomatoes - 1 cup
  • Garlic cloves -3
  • Curry leaves - few
  • Red chilli - 3
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • For the seasoning
  • Oil -1 tsp
  • Mustard - 1 tsp
  • Hing - a pinch
  • Curry leaves - few

Directions

  1. Heat a tbsp of oil in a pan, add red chillies, garlic and saute for a few minutes.

  2. Then add curry leaves, chopped tomatoes and cook till tomatoes become mushy. Add salt needed.

  3. Allow it to cool. Then blend it in a mixie .(Do not make a very fine paste)

  4. Heat a tsp of oil, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add hing, curry leaves and pour it over the chutney.
