Shavige Payasa

Ingredients

  • 1/2 liter Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Shavige (Vermicelli)
  • 1tsp Ghee (Clarified Butter)
  • 10 tsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • Few strands of Saffron, soaked in milk
  • Few pieces of Cashew nut and raisins, fried in Ghee

Directions

  1. Heat Ghee in a thick-bottomed pan and fry the Shavige in it for a minute. Add Milk and let it boil for sometime. Now, add Sugar, Cardamom Powder, and Saffron Milk and mix well. Let it boil for 3 to 4 minutes and remove to a serving dish. Add Cashew nut and raisins and mix well and serve.
