Ingredients

  • 3 Tbs sesame seeds
  • 3 Tbs butter
  • 1/2 cup sliced celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups Beef Stock or canned beef broth
  • 2 Tbs soy sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Put sesame seeds in a medium nonstick skillet over medium heat. Stir until toasted, about 2 minutes. Transfer to a small bowl and set aside.

  2. In the same skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add celery, onion, and garlic and saute until tender, about 5 minutes. Add rice and stir to coat. Stir in stock and soy sauce and bring to a boil. Transfer to a 2 1/2-quart casserole dish lightly coated with cooking spray or oil.

  3. Cover and bake until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender, about 45 minutes. Stir in sesame seeds.
