Ingredients
- 1 lb sliced kirby cucumbers
- coarse salt
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1 Tbs pickling spice
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 clove garlic
- a few sprigs dill
- 1 Tbs sugar

Toss cucumber slices with 2 Tbs coarse salt. Chill for 1 hour. Rinse and drain. Combine vinegar and water, and dill and spices.Stir to dissolve. Add cukes and chill in a quart container overnight or up to 1 month.
