Grandma’s Fudge Swirl Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. butter, softened
  • 1 lb. box confectioner's sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 t. salt
  • 3 c. sifted cake flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 4 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate, melted
  • 2 t. vanilla

Directions

  1. eat oven to 325.

  2. Beat butter in mixer until smooth, gradually add sugar, beat well.

  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well between each.

  4. Add flour gradually, beating well.

  5. Add salt, beat. Add milk gradually and vanilla, beat until smooth.

  6. Grease pan well: bundt, mini bundt, or loaf style cake pan. Use baking spray plus sprinkle pan with flour.

  7. Put 2/3 batter in pan.

  8. Put dollops of melted chocolate in batter.

  9. Add the rest of the batter into the pan.

  10. Swirl chocolate with a knife – do not mix, looking for swirls.

  11. Bake 1 hr. 5 minutes for loaf pan, 1 hr. 15 minutes for bundt pan, try 20-25 minutes for mini bundts, or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely in pan, remove and frost.
