IMPOSSIBLEHAM and CHEESE PIE

Ingredients

  • Butter to butter the pie pan
  • 3 Tbs finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 scallions, whites & greens, finely minced
  • 8 oz shredded gruyere cheese
  • 4 oz thick cut deli ham, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of all purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 Tbs melted butter
  • 2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg

Directions

  1. Spread the butter over the pie pan, and then coat with the parmesan cheese; shake the pan to evenly distribute.

  2. In a bowl, mix the scallions, cheese, and ham.

  3. Make the “Bisquick” – mix all dry ingredients together.

  4. Add the wet ingredients, stirring to incorporate after each addition. Pour on top of the filling.

  5. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 – 35 minutes but on the bottom rack to help with formation of the crust.
