Cream Biscuits

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 t. salt
- 4 t. sugar (optional)
- 2 t. baking powder
- 6 T. (3/4) stick cold butter, cut into pieces
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
Directions

Preheat oven to 400 F

Stir together in a large bowl all ingredients except butter and cream.

Cut the butter into flour with fingers or pastry blender until they are size of peas. Ad the heavy cream, but save 1 tablespoon before adding.

Mix together until dough comes together, adding flour if necessary to make it workable. Roll on a floured board about 3/4 inch thick. Cut into 1-1/2 inch circles or squares.

Place in a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and lightly brush the tops with saved cream. bake for 17 minutes or so.
