Scones

Ingredients
- 2 cups unbleached whole-wheat pastry flour
- 2 1/2 t. baking powder
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/3 cups cream
- 2 T. butter, melted
- 1 1/2 T. sugar
Directions

Preheat oven to 400F

Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl and blend well. Stir in the cream and mix until dough just starts to come together. Pat it into an 8-inch circle.

Brush with the melted butter and sprinkle with sugar. Cut the circle into 8 wedges and place the wedges 1 inch apart on a baking sheet line with parchment paper. Bake for 17 minutes or until golden brown.
