Guinness Cake Mix (Rose and Crown)

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 6 eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 TB baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 cups Guinness Stout
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
Directions

Grease and line a cake pan and preheat oven to 275 degrees F.

Cream butter and sugar together.

Gradually beat in eggs.

Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda into a separate bowl.

Stir Guinness into cocoa. Carefully fold in alternate quantities of flour and cocoa to butter/ sugar mixture.

Spread mixture into pans and bake for 1 hour 30 minutes at 275 degrees F.

Let cool in pans for five minutes before turning out.
