Grandpa’s Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 pound grated mixture of veal, beef, pork
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 slice bread that has been soaked in milk (cream is even better)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons onion, cooked until translucent
  • 1 large egg
  • breadcrumbs (just enough to hold meatball together)

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together (if mixture is too hard, add another egg).

  2. Roll into balls. Grandpa = Make balls bigger than golf balls, smaller than tennis balls. Lynn = Use a tablespoon cookie scoop.

  3. Heat oven to 350 degrees.

  4. Place meatballs on a sprayed cookie sheet. Place sheet on top oven rack. Cook meatballs for 10 mins. on each side.

  5. Place meatballs in sauce and cook for 1 hr.
