Clean Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 21/2 cups almond flour
  • 1 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 cup finely ground pecans
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup plus 6 Tbsp ghee, divided
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups coarsely chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 13- x 9-inch

  2. pan with foil. Grease pan with oil. Whisk

  3. together flour, sugar, ground nuts, and salt. Add

  4. 1 cup ghee, and stir until a coarse meal forms;

  5. press into prepared pan. Bake 20 to 25

  6. minutes. Cool completely. Combine syrup,

  7. honey, milk, 6 Tbsp ghee, salt, and vanilla in a

  8. saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil; stir

  9. constantly 1 minute or until ghee is melted and

  10. mixture is smooth. Remove from heat; stir in

  11. coarsely chopped nuts. Pour topping over crust

  12. in pan. Bake 15 minutes; cool in pan on a wire

  13. rack. Chill 1 hour before cutting into bars.
