GAPS Cream of Asparagus Soup

Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 lbs. of asparagus, ends trimmed, cut into 1-inch pieces
- Salt (Terrasoul brand)
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 2 cups homemade chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy raw cream or organic pasturized cream
- Dill or chives for garnish
Directions

In a heavy pot, melt the butter. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, 1 minute.

Add the asparagus, season salt and pepper, and cook until golden, about 5 minutes; add broth and simmer until asparagus is very tender, but still green, about 10-15 minutes.

Using an immersion blender, puree soup. Stir in cream. Season with salt and pepper.

Garnish with more cream, chives, and dill
