This is great for any kind of greens… Mustard, Collard, Kale, Chard, even younger Beet Tops, however I am not a personal fan of the beet tops.
- mess of greens
- bacon grease
- flour
- large clove garlic sliced
- Water and salt as needed
I also have a cucumber salad with creamy dressing recipe in this book.
- sweet white onion
- cold ice water
- sugar
- medium garden fresh cucumbers

See my recipe for Pot Roast in Electric Skillet. This is what you can do with left-overs…also using electric skillet. Or if you made roast in the oven this is also how you would make this hash.
My kids never liked roast but loved the left over hash…go figure.
- medium onion diced
- Left over gravy and/or water to cover all in your skillet.
- Salt only if needed.
- Left over potatoes from roast cut into 1 inch cubes or smaller OR if you didn't have any left over potatoes peel and cut up raw potatoes. At least 2 cup or more.
- Left over pot roast cut into 1 inch cubes or smaller. At least 2 cups or more.
This can be done in the oven too, but love my SaladMaster Electric Skillet!
Probably work in a crock pot too…but I am not a crock pot cooker.

This type of squash is especially good straight from the garden. It really isn’t that great for sauteing…but is extra delicious either fried or stuffed.

- cheese grated

The peppers used in this…“Arbol” are not real hot. Can be found dried in the Mexican spice section of your grocery. Some groceries carry them fresh.

- vinegar 90-100 grain or 10% acidity

- fresh dill OR 1 scant tablespoon dill seed

There is another recipe in this book actually called Quasaks. This one is different.

I haven’t made this my self, but I have eaten the Motl’s cake and it is delish!
The Reznicek/Motl families swear by this recipe. I have a much easier recipe also in this book.
