See my recipe for Pot Roast in Electric Skillet. This is what you can do with left-overs…also using electric skillet. Or if you made roast in the oven this is also how you would make this hash.
My kids never liked roast but loved the left over hash…go figure.
- medium onion diced
- Left over gravy and/or water to cover all in your skillet.
- Salt only if needed.
- Left over potatoes from roast cut into 1 inch cubes or smaller OR if you didn't have any left over potatoes peel and cut up raw potatoes. At least 2 cup or more.
- Left over pot roast cut into 1 inch cubes or smaller. At least 2 cups or more.
This can be done in the oven too, but love my SaladMaster Electric Skillet!
Probably work in a crock pot too…but I am not a crock pot cooker.

- carrots
- ribs celery OR 3 large whole stems of parsley
- large potatoes
- Lipton Dry Onion-Mushroom Soup mix OR 1 small onion

You can “build” this in your glass casserole dish…but because some don’t care for all of the ingredients I keep each ingredient separate and let each person build their own.
This is good as is or you can use the “Spicy French Salad Dressing” in this book.
My friend, Sue, never used the Ranch Style Beans…but I tried this once and we loved it.

This recipe came from my father’s side of the family…also from Czechoslovakia. It is more of a stew/soup rather than a thick “goulash”.
